Getting that high end R&b vocal sound

I'm working on this pop/r&b song which is mainly piano and voice- sort of like Alicea Keys meets early Mariah, and was wondering if any of you have suggestions on the best way to really bring forward the highs without the shrillness. We tracked the vocal with an old 414 and on her voice it was the winner over an extensive mic shootout. I'm happy with the sound now, just looking for some other viewpoints. You know that sound where it seems like every litttle detail has been eq'd or dialed in...that's what I'm looking for. Much appreciation for any advice
