Thanks for all the links. I am going to try ICB today.

On the guitar front, I really want to try the Orange Tiny Terror. I have had some great success with the Epiphone Valve Jr. There is only one Orange dealer listed and that is in Dayton. However I called them and they only have the solid state stuff.

Appreciate all the help, though.

Scott

How did I miss this thread? I am out in Madeira..gig every wednesday at the Blind Lemon in Mt. Adams...Not a Cincy native and, unlike some other guys, not a big fan of it, but I am here. (married a local gal , raising a family, although I can think of a thousand better places to raise kids than this place )..I have a few pieces of high end gear. Used to work in a nice room on the east coast. Love to build and rack gear..I will keep my eyes posted for meetings or the like. The studio idea downtown sounds cool. Man is downtown here DEAD! Went to see the songwriters show at the Aronoff a few weeks ago and was shocked at how little was going on for a Saturday..I'm an "old" man and I don't get out much but I was expecting a little more from a city on a saturday night..before i sound too negative there are some good things here ! The museum center, zoo and aquarium are all world class
and the Playhouse is pretty cool.

Cheers,
Ray

Hey cincy slutz! i've been a lurker for a long time around here, but decided to finally register when i saw this post from another local. I'd like to find out more about this opportunity if you are still looking. I work for ITA currently, but have worked for Tri-State Productions, and interned at Sound Images with Matt Huenemann. Aside from that I have years of experience recording local bands from hardcore punk and rock, to to surf, to rock-a-billy, to country... I'm a recent graduate from CCM. I have some decent gear and a good attitude. Get back at me if you want to chat.

Hey media marcus...we both live in Mt. Lookout!

As for myself, I have a tiny, horrifically configured studio in my leaky basement (hence its name, "Running Water Studios") which has a modest amount of gear in it. I do all my mixing ITB with Cubase SX2, using a Presonus firewire interface. I record my own personal projects with my studio.

My wife works at Sonic Arts in a non-engineering role, and I am very proud of her.

very cool. I'm on Delta Ave in an apt building so i can't do much recording here. I know it sounds lame, but my studio setup is across town at my parents house. It's pretty nice environment though. I have the basement all to myself. I'm usually able to get some good sounds over there. I'm definitely interested in looking for a new space to record. Maybe I'll buy a house around here someday. Who Knows... But Yeah, Mt. Lookout is the place to be in Cincy. Do you know if Sonic Arts is hiring?
