| PTLE 002/Folcrom & ADC If I have RenComp on a channel(64 samples of latency), does that come into play if I'm not summing in PTLE but taking it as an output directly into a Folcrom & summing there? Does lack of Automtatic Delay Compensation come into play if you're summing externally?

| Yes... you will still have delay if you sum externally because the processing of the plug-in is still happening internally. |

| ADC applies to plug ins and to analog inserts in TDM. PT LE doesn't have ADC for analog inserts but AFAIK PT LE has ADC (for plugins) up to a little over 1000 samples, so no problem with your ren comp whether summing internlly or externally. |

| oops. i've never used ren comp for paralell compression. matter of fact i really don't use rencomp at all (have platinum, SSL, restoration bundles) but thanks for the heads up. when i get back to the TDM rig i'll have to check it out. seems like this ADC thing isn't 100% ironed out, doesn't it? |

In my experience, the latency read out function in PT was mostly accurate and useful for nudging tracks... crucial for parallel processing. Again... all of this happens in your DAW before your signal would be sent to your D/A converter, so summing outside the box won't eliminate the need to compensate for latency in PTLE.

i've had TDM for years but i'm new to m-powered. using it for portable overdubs but only using SSL and Elio Air EQ plugs ( i believe they have no delay) so i haven't noticed a difference.
