Synthesizer Patches

hello all....i've been curious...i've owned a few effects pedals (zoom, etc.) that you could find forums online where you would be able to get Parameter codes for various patches. Like someone would post the distortion that was used by NIN in March of The Pigs...what to set your parameters to on your effects processor. So, i'm curious if there's any of this stuff for Synths, namely analogs and vintage. I know you can get SysEx software, but i figure they don't come with patches. I know the whole point of owning a synth is making your own patches. But, I love reverse synthesis, and experimenting with patches.

So, anyone know of websites, or even SysEx programs that come with new patches outside of the standard presets....

i have a large list of synths...everything from Arp Omni to Korg Trinity....Sequential Circuits...etc.

thanks!

Sure, there are lots of sites with patches for various synths, especially for some of the more elaborate synths. Each site tends to be devoted to a specific synth, so without knowing which synths you are looking for I can't offer specifics. I think the best way to find them is basic google search stuff, enter the name of the synth and phrases like "user's group" or "patch library" or the word Patches.

Two that I know of are the great site for the Rhodes Chroma at
http://www.rhodeschroma.com/

and the Nord Modular forum and patch library located within the larger forum structure at Electro-Music.com:
