CONFUSSED, so much gear, so many specs

Hi All,

Im wanting to update my not so old system.

I have a mackie 32/8. RME adat card. Creamware A16 converters and im using logic 4 with a PC.

I am finding my work flow seems a bit, clumbsy. I make good sounding records and all my clients are quite happy, i often do multiple records for bands.

I am toying with finally going PT. I would go a 002 rack with factory option so i get 48 tracks and possibly a control 24.

The main problem is i love desks, however i now rarley use my desk ( maybe cos i have a mackie - i sold my soundcratf Ts24 for avalon outboard gear)

I mainly mix itb anyways and have done for some time, the problem is RSI. LOL. i hate the mouse.

Does any one have any ideas? What are you using?

Im a mid level producer studio, so i mainly do Underground metal, pop, rock stuff, i usually produce, engineer and mix my self.

THanks

Damian

Control surface - think control surface.

Is there something you don't like about Logic?

Yeah control surface sounds very popular at the moment.

i love logic and have been using it for about 7 years as my primary choice. The problem is the new versions are now on mac and im still stuck in PC land

Get a Mac, then. The $2k you spend on a Mac isn't a lot when you consider studio gear.....
