Thread Starter | Gates S-38 Limiter. Anybody know anything about these?
I got a free Gates S-38 limiter. I have never heard of it so I am unsure if it is worth the drive to pick it up or not. I have not seen it so I am just going by the description from the fellow who gave it to me. He said it is an S-38???? Is this a piece of junk or should I drive an hour and a half to pick it up. Apparently the VU meter glass is broken and I am unsure if it even works as it has been sitting in storage at the CBC since the early 1970's. All I could find having anything remotely to do with the S-38 is a Hallicrafters noise limiter used for HAM radio.
