| 4 x 12 cabs vs 1 x 12 cabs close mic'd: What are you hearing in the CR and "on tape" Kind of a spin-off thread to the 1 x 12 one: Seems most peeps are close- micing a speaker or multiple speakers anywhere up to 12" off the speaker: I'm curious if the sound of the cabinet is translating through those close mics, or whether the difference only becomes apparent in a room mics or mics a few feet away? What are the differences you'e hearing close-up?
