Goose-neck SDC Hyper-cardiod mics for toms

I'm planning to get some "goose-neck" SDC Hyper-cardiod mics for toms.
They -have- to be hyper/super cardiod, cuz I hate bleed.

So far I only know about the Shure Beta98's.. I've tried the Audix ones too, but they lack bottom...

Any other good mics beside the Shure Beta98's you guyes know of?

The Earthworks periscope mics come in a hypercard....

Seems like overkill for close micing a tom drum, though.....

I just used those new AT side-address pencil mics for toms during the Swamp sessions at Redrock a week or so back.

I really dug 'em...enough that I might haev to buy a pair or three for myself. Super easy to position, rejected a lot of cymbals & sounded great...though the old Gretch toms, great drummer & Gamma probably helped a bit! The output was pretty hot...I had to engange both the mic pad and the Gamma's pads but other then that, no EQ or nuttin. Just great tones

Sorry, I can't remember the model number...but they're the "new" ones. Only been out for a couple of months. I think it's an "artist" mic? Kent said they were around $200 each IIRC.

All you need to make a record is a mic, some tape and maybe some bad reverb...
