SCA N72 + Chameleon EQ

Does anyone reckon that the SCA N72 used along with the Chameleon Labs EQ ( NOT the Pre) would be a good combo?
I'd like to get as close as a can to a famous (not to be mentioned in case I get flamed) pre/eq module without spending the bucks....
Anyone got an opinion?

And what famous mic pre would that be?
Haven't used the chameleon eq but the N72 sure gives you that nevish flavor, it doesn't sound exactly like a 1073, far from that but sounds super cool and I've picked it over some high end pres more than once. Can't go wrong with the sca stuff IMO.

Check out the cl1b and the distressor, I think both sound very nice with the n72, very different flavors. I tried the portico comp also and thought is sounded great along with this pre.

How about a couple Brent Averill 1272's if you don't want to spend a lot of money?

I may on occasion talk about some of the products I am a dealer for in my posts.. and that's OK! I sell them because I like them. Not vice versa. It's more fun to talk about things you know and love, then things you don't.
