Hi everybody. I don't usually do this sort of thing, but I just got this email from a producer I work with, Grant Geissman. We did a jazz record this year, and it's the real deal. Live players in a great room, playing real instruments, with only one overdub and very few fixes. In fact, since I did the monitor mixes in Pro Tools, they wound up being the CD mixes with just a few rides for solos. I'll have to figure out how to get a site to post mp3. Contact me if you're interested. Steve soulconnect@earthlink.net Dear NARAS voters and influence peddlers, My latest CD, "SAY THAT!" by Grant Geissman, is being considered for Grammy nominations in several categories. We would love to get a Grammy nomination this year, so your consideration is very much appreciated. We will be happy to send mp3s of tracks, or actual copies of the SAY THAT! album upon request. When filling out your Grammy nomination ballot, please consider the following. Very sincerely, Grant Geissman ======================== Field 10, Category 47 - Best Jazz Instrumental Solo 088. "Wes Is More," Grant Geissman, soloist Field 10, Category 48 - Best Jazz Instrumental Album, Individual or Group 065. "SAY THAT!" Grant Geissman Field 23, Category 83 - Best Instrumental Composition 082. "Grandfather's Banjo," Grant Geissman, composer (Grant Geissman) Field 27, Category 90 - Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical 189. "SAY THAT!," Steve Shepherd, engineer (Grant Geissman) ================================== Remember to enter your votes by the 3-digit number, and please get your ballots in before the due date of Wednesday, November 8, 2006. Thank you! Steve Shepherd

Congrats! I have a lot of respect for Grant Geissman. Look forward to hearing it, especially curious about the "Wes is more" seeing I'm a long time Wes fan
