Los Angeles Chapter Of Gearslutz Gear Extravaganza! Saturday November 25th 2006

It's on! We are having a Thanksgiving gear demo party at Vocal Asylum.

Saturday November 25th from 6pm on... Dinner and drinks.
James Lugo's Vocal Asylum
6381 Hollywood Blvd. Suite 700
Los Angeles, CA 90028
323 462 4722
Corner of Hollywood and Cahuenga
(press #700 at the door)

Vocal Asylum, A-Design, TC-Helicon, TC-Electronics, Brent Averill, Pearlman Mics, Avedis Audio, 7th Level Productions, and Little Labs are hosting a night of food, drink and audio.

Come and demo some of the top pro audio gear today. This is a great opportunity to hear all different combos of mics, pres, compressors, eq's and the new TC-Helicon vocal plug ins. We'll have a plethora of mics, guitars, amps and basses to listen to the gear through. This is going to be unbelievable! Want to hear what you sound like singing thru a Pearlman>Pacifica>1176>La2a or what a Les Paul>Marshall>121>BAE312 sound like or what my Martin sounds like mic'ed thru whatever combo you want... and go home with a 24 bit file of the track!

RSVP via PM please.

Yeah, sounds great, but that's a huge ride weekend for us 2 wheeled gear slutz. Now I'm torn. Two loves....one day.....Aaaarrrrgh! I'd love to make it, but I'll have to wait and see how things shake out.

I got a close-up look at this pre recently at AES and talked to the owner. The quality/workmanship is un-friggin'-believable. I'll be interested to find out what the folks at the Asylum think about the sound.

It looks like we gonna be debuting some new gear at this. I just got off the phone with Peter Montessi and he's finishing up some new gear to bring to this party. He also said Avedis, Pearlman and Little Labs should be showcasing some new stuff too.

Mr. Little PLEASE email/call okay?

Sounds like a heck of a time!!!

I'll see if E-Cue, Ronan Chris Murphy, Ted Perlman, and Tony Sheperd will make it down as well.

This is gonna be great because we could listen to different mics, plug-in's, outboard gear, etc and ask questions and feed our brains as well as our bellies in Thanksgiving. I'll see about getting some dark beer like guinness.

I'll bring some E27 eq's and an R52 rack for audition, as well as a 11-space 500 rack for putting some stuff from A-Designs and BA.

See y'all there.

I'm in. And if I can bring some food or something, I'll leave my two-wheeler at home. Man, how cool would that be? A gearslut event with a bunch of motorcycles outside too.

I was wondering what happened to you.

Have you had time to get acclimated to your new surroundings?
