Individual professionally mixed tracks

I know in the past there have been some bands that have allowed people to download their individually mixed tracks(nine inch nails guy and i think thrice) and I was wondering if anyone knew if there is anything like that going on right now... or perhaps already have such tracks and wouldn't mind sharing

Do you mean the multitrack sessions for people to remix? If so, I'd love to get hold of the files. Anybody know where to get these from?

Yeah, I know Trent whatever let people download his sessions, and I thought I read somewhere that Thrice let people download their guitar tracks(these would be AWESOME for reference while recording rock guitars)

RealWorldRemixed.com does on a regular basis with different artist from the Real World label. They just had a contest to remix Peter Gabriel's "Shock the Monkey" and the winner won an SSl Duende.

I got hold of the Thrice tracks from Artist In The Ambulance thorugh a friend, and all that it will teach you is that Andy Wallace knows way more than you do about mixing.... all joking aside, I think the more important aspect is being able to listen to how well the parts follow the songs and how the part writing is a larger apect to the sound than the actual tones, because they seldom fight the song. The guitars have tonnes of punch because they are so tight with the kick and snare and when there is a musical "moment" on guitar, the whole band supports it. Most guitar parts that I have trouble mixing are difficult because they are doing things musically that are not in keeping with the other tracks. Sadly, I do not know where the guy downloaded them, and I dont have them anymore.
