Recording to my laptop

Greetings,

I have an older Dell Inspiron 8100 laptop ( 1Ghz speed w 1/2 gb ram).

I am looking for a cheap way to get quality audio into it via USB or firewire
(preferably FW). It would mainly be a guitar and voice recording setup.

I have ProTools 7.1 LE in my home studio, so it needs be compatable with that.

Any suggestions for hardware ala Mbox type devices or ???

Thanks
Van

is this a trck question?

if you already have pro tools 7.1 you would already have an interface would you not? I mean pro tools doesn't run without a compatible interface..

LOL! No not a trck question. My laptop is "not ProTools compatable" (I got it a year before I bought my Digi002). So I am looking for something I can travel with, then dump the stuff to my Digi002.
