Bert Frilot - anyone know this engineer?

i ask because i just bought a console from a studio in houston, texas. bert oversaw the design, construction, and installation of the console at jones studio. he also cut a bunch of records on it between 1969 and 73 or so (mickey gilley's "room full of roses", the moving sidewalks' first and only LP, some great doug sahm and the sir douglas quintet recordings, lightnin' hopkins sonet recordings, archie bell and the drells post tighten up, etc...). this was all before he moved to mickey gilley's place which apparently he also designed. any info on the man would be much appreciated, be it first hand or otherwise. thanks,

He did a ton of stuff. I only know who he is, didn't know him and I don't know much about him.

no, that's not the console. i think that picture was taken way later on in his career. that pic might even be a studio after mickey gilley's place.

yeah, he sounds like he's been involved in some incredible recordings. i can't even imagine all of the new orleans stuff he engineered at cosimo matassa's place.

this board i bought is so customized, i feel like it's my duty to know all i can about the creator.

I have known Bert all of my life. Bert passed away years ago but was one heck of an engineer. I only registered on this site to let you know what happened to him in case you are still looking for him. Sorry.
