Thinking outloud about mix ideas for a Rock Band - No elec gtr.

Maybe some of you guys can turn me on to some interesting stuff I can listen to that features a rock band (drums, bass, acoustic gtr, and keys) but no electric guitars.

I'm doing a project in a couple of weeks with a band like this. The stuff is very melodic - but still rocks. I'm just trying to soak up some ideas for the type of vibe I'm going to go for.

Thanks in advance!

The Dresden Dolls. Just vox/piano/drums most of the time.

Listen to their War Pigs cover to hear how they are treating piano in leiu of guitar.

Also, their song Half-Jack is pretty heavy (or moreso when it's live).

Also, Dave Matthews Band rocks pretty damn hard on The Two Step, and I don't hear any electric (or at least really much of it) in that song.
