Yamaha AW4416 - Y56k users HELP!

Hi there any Yamaha AW4416 ++ with installed Y56k users out there?

Was wondering if you could do a little test for me with the TRUVERB ... 10 minute test at most ...

Details to follow if response come...

Thanks!!!

Hi all,

Could I ask a favour from y56k Reverb users?

Specifically, I am concerned that my TrueVerb is either not working
right ... or I have not configured it right (pilot error).

Anyhow, could you try this please ... you might need to use
headphones ... since that is what I'm doing ...

Bring up a mono source (like a vocal) ... patch it thru the truverb in
THRU MODE (as per manual pg.23) where you just listen to the y56k output - not mixing this output with the original signal ...

Just use a medium concert setting ... then while listening ... open the truverb menu screen ... then turn OFF the DIRECT and REVERB checkboxes ... thereby isolating and listening only to the EARLY REFLECTIONS ...

Do you now here the ER sounds heavlily weighted to the Right side ...
ie. like its panned right significantly? Note that my aw4416 meters support what I'm hearing ... ie. more volume to the right side ...

I thought I'd hear the ER sounds panned dead center ... which is the
case when I select to listen to only "Direct" or only "Reverb" ...
these go dead center in both cases ...

Any thoughts on what is going on here ... or problem areas??

Doesn't seem right to me.

Thanks all so much,
jls.
