Soundelux 351

I demoed a bunch of mics and the Soundelux 351 blew me away. It's hard to tell on the convention floor but from what I could hear it was stellar. Basically Brad told me it's a Soundelux 251 with more depth and low end. It sounded massive in the headphones! Definatly a mic I'm checkin' out when it comes out.

Massive is the word. Very awesome microphone and suprisingly the mic was plugged into a Mackie 1402 mixer feeding the headphones. Imagine the possibilities running it through some of the dedicated pres that were on display at the show.

B-U-M-P

is this going to be an actual production model, or was this just a prototype? i know there have been other Soundelux mics bound for creation (E67) that never made it out into the real world.

James, now that you are on your microphone mission (what with the new TeleUSA/Wunder mics), are you considering adding this puppy to your collection if it goes to production?

any more info on the 351 appreciated!!

cheers,
~j.d.
