Boy I'd sure like to know a little more. Will it have the same switchable tranformers as the rest of the line? Any inserts? Any peak you'd like to sneak us will be just fine! Thanks.

Add me to the list of those wanting more info. Is it designed to complement the Equinox or is it an altogether new or different summing option?

From conversations with Peter (he can obviouzly tell us more) it is designed to go with the Equinox. The main thing for me was the ability to do mono with Equinox...Hooray!!!

I heard the same.
their are a lot of custom parts that were made just for this this.
some very impressive spec's.
i will leave the details to Peter or someone from vintage king as i do not feel it appropriate to give out info that my have been given in confidence.
i will say this i feel this is going to be a very very nice addition to anyones collection.

Since I already have the Gama 8 and Equinox (plus some old Neves) I've no reason for more pres....However, I would love to see an 8 channel eq such as this to go with the G8.
Imagine.....
Gama 8, Eq 8, Hyperion, Equinox....you could run em all in line like an old school console! That would be sweet sitting to the left of my Control 24!!! Are you reading Peter???

A photo of the Speck Electronics booth. Standing to my side is my daughter Veronica who helped me at AES this year.

Thanks to everyone that stopped by to say hello, chat, and take look at our stuff. I really, really enjoyed talking to all of you.

On the podium next to Veronica is a pair of Vince's 500 series modules that can be (self powered without the need for a rack) mounted on an optional stand.

Very cool. My daughter is only 6 yrs old. But do you have any advice on getting them interested in the family business? Maybe forbid her to participate?

Yep, reverse psychology works for a while, until they start using it on you.

I've been taking the kids to the office since they could walk. There's always something to play with in an electronics factory.

Now my technique to keep the kids interested in the family business is to keep them indentured...that is, always in debt to me. When they start driving they need $ to pay for gas, insurance, etc. To get $ they need to work. My daughter quickly realized that there were two ways to get $; the first to get a McJob in town, the other to work at the office with flexible hours. Guess which she took.

She works hard and earns her pay, and along the way has learned that dad works hard too. She has also picked up some things about the audio business.

She loves the AES gig. More cool t-shirts than Abercrombie & Fitch.... and free!

Vince,

She is a DOLL!!

I saw her walking around picking up T-Shirts.

Watch out cause the next thing you know YOU'LL be pushing out coin for a wedding (not cheap)

Do you screen her dates too???

Great seeing both of you and we'll talk soon.

Vince, it was great talking with you and learning your perspective on design. Very, very nice gear you make, and thanks for your time.

Vince, thanks for taking the time to stop by and check out the 992! It was a real treat meeting you. I've been a big fan of Speck for years; since your large console days!

All the Best,
