I'm not trying to insult anyone and I would appreciate the same..... I'm just stating what I think is the real deal. I have tried the Big Ben, the Antelope, the Lavry Blue, a Radar, the Lucid, the Rosendahl, a Prism, a Lavry Gold to name a few..... I've heard no differences....that is just my opinion..... you might differ.... I'm not trying to be a Troll... I'm just speaking of my experiences.....

Hey cloud, it's much easier to make fun of you if your posts make sense. Rambling about your job at GC or transvestite escorts you find on craigslist is just confusing...give me something to work with at least. I'm still having trouble believing you're a grown man.

And we're assuming that all this gear you are talking about, Volume, is iin a Pro Studio you are working in right? Becuase as you said you can make a good record at home....haha, there are a ton of records that have been made in anything BUT pro studios....You just have to know what you are doing.

My God, "Bleed American" is an awesome album. "Clarity" is amazing too. I think their production/engineering is top notch! Definite vibe on both albums. Sounds great to me! thumbsup

...Can you still feel the butterflies?

i thought there'd be a bit more discussion in this thread which is dissappointing...

i always though bleed american was trombino's best work...the first CD i recall hearing...and knowing that he did it was Midtown's Save the World, Lose the Girl...

it's definitely not top quality, by any means, but for the money that record cost...probably no more than 10 grand, and when it came out for an indie band, it's nice

Bleed American and Clarity are great sounding albums with benchmark quality production. Sadly their last effort (Gil Norton producing?) was not so good. I hear Butch Vig is slated to produce their next album, which sounds like a weird mix to me.

if jimmy eat world has the ability to make a record on their own...and ultimately they can be more creative and play their music better.....why not ??

i still believe in the big pro studio...i have owned several...and, i LOVE working in high end rooms, but sometimes the vibe just is NOT write for some artists. i work in unconventional rooms all the time. there is obviously a tradeoff in acoustics, isolation, etc,etc,etc...but if it makes the end music better...i'll do it !!

of course, if i had a few of their racks of chandlers...my "house" records would probably jump up in sonic quality a bit....well...lots of bits !!!

i personally find jimmy eat world's last two records pretty kickin....i loved what trombino did...but i also generally love mr nortons work as well.

regardless...the music appeals to me...thats what matters..

peace..

I thought this was a joke, but, in case it's not, I'd like to point out that U2's Joshua Tree was recorded in a house they rented.

this is probably sarcasm...but if not...its cool...your opinion..

i think you cannot make a good sounding record with preconceived notions of what it takes to make a great sounding record....

if they cant make a GREAT sounding record with that gear...there are many other problems that not being in a pro studio !!!

i am anxious to hear it...one of the few modern rock bands i enjoy personally....

nice guys too !!!

Heard new single on the radio today, I think Vig did a great job at least with the single. CLA mixed for sure, it had CLA all over it.
Im sure the new album wont have the magic that Clarity had at least for me but I still love their recordings and think theyre one of the best working rock bands out there.

A very underrated band in my opinion. Superb stuff and I agree that "Bleed American" sounds stunning.

Led Zeppelin IV was recorded in a house also, and that album is one of the greatest rock-n-roll albums ever.
