New mix sessions at The Listening Sessions

The Listening Sessions has been hard at work at The Lazy I recording studios. Listen to a selection of mics and preamps in use on recordings and mixes.

Session 6 - The Mixes - Part 1
Tracks 1 & 2 are eclectic pop/folk. Track 3 is emo/punk

Session 7 - The Mixes - Part 2
Track 4 is nu metal. Track 5 is hip hop. Track 6 is heavy-guitar rock. Track 7 is retro rock n' roll

Very nicely done for each genre I think!

I just want to hear that freaking jazz session again ;-)

I always enjoy the stuff on your site.

Personally, I prefer heavier types of music but... that first band cool (catchy tunes - old school) Yeah!

The other rockin bands were good too. Good clean mixes.

Liked those pres!!!

Jason

ps: I like the depth and flavour of the vox on the Rap mix... can you elaborate on the method of capturing them?

Thanks

both artist (at diferent times) stood about 10" away from a popscreen / mics diaphagm and went for it.......only a bit of compression(rnc) was use going in.
