Digital Recording questions

Hi, there. I'm new in the forum and I would like to wave you and ask some questions to you gear devoted

I'm going to record a drumkit in a home based studio with some of my gear
I've some nice pres: Amek purepath, Neve 1272 converted to 1073, SPL gold mk2 and a custom pre made in italy. that's 8 chennels total.

i'm going to record with a yamaha 02R to a pulsar system connected via ADAT to the console.

I would like to ask you advice for the clearest path :
What is the best way to enter the 02R (it is used for monitoring also)? Insert return? line in? i would like to avoid 02's pre and use it just lika a converter.

could i record more than 16 bit via adat with such console?

Line Input into the O2R from the preamps should be best. I don't know about ADAT.
