Neve Portico 5012 mic preamps

Could you ask for a better more enormous sounding mic pre?

The sound from this little thing is like velvety warm eggnog chai latte

mmmmmmmmmmm yummy

Yeah, that Pendulum Limiter is supposed to be KILLING. I haven't heard it for myself yet, but ran into a slut at the party in NY who was RAVING about it. Can't wait.

JOOC, Jacklynn, what are you using your Portico for? What instruments/ genre, etc.?

Thanks.

Can somebody, anybody, please explain to me how gear that has never been heard, let alone used, be nominated, or considered for any kind of award, (gear of the year in this case). Please explain this to me....

I really wish I could harness the power of hype.

My Gear O' Year includes:
Portico 5012
Aurora GTQ-2 Mk2

Neumann U47Feti and more vintage mics of various euopean flavors. Funny how I trust well-tuned old mics, and want to drive them with new versions of old style preamps.

Works for me!! thumbsup

The Shadow Hills gear has been a hit since someone posted a picture of it and at the AES, the Pendulum limiter and the new Buzz EQ got Par excellence awards
