I'd love to know too, they sure do get a get sound!!

Gabriel,

I noticed you've asked loads of questions about getting the right gear for doing vocals. If I remember right you have a manley gold and a nice pre to go with it.

I'm just wondering, if you are having problems then is it possible it's the room you record in????

Do you use a vocal booth or stick the mic in a corner of a room??

Is the room treated acoustically???

What about mic cables?? Do you make them yourself??

Mic/Pre/outboard guess on new Incubus?

" SSL 4000g, a telefukin 251(they sang BG's through them) and SM-7 (Lead vocals), sometimes the Hitler mic... M160 on percussion...CDj1000, Koas Pad, 1200's... Little Labs PCP...buttloads of guitar pedals... "

I saw one of the DVD's when they were recording in the studio. I remember seeing a U87. I'll take look now and get back to ya.

Out of curiousity, do you record vocals in a room or a booth??
