Hand Crafted Labs ???

I know folks usually hate these general questions...(and yes I did a search)...

What is the general opinion of the Ukraine made Hand Crafted Lab gear ?

I was saving up for a re-issue La2a, but the stereo opto limiter from Hand Crafted Lab looks quite appealling...

Any opinions on one VS the other? How about the Affinity ?

Jeff, we have a consumer in Chicago, but he is owner of Affinity preamp. Ideology of sonunding is similar, but without limiting. He is name - Valentine Azzbelle, possibly you are familiar. His song "Waiting by phone" won first places in Chicago Musolist half year almost,in heavy metall style.

I'm still looking at this. I want an opto comp for bass and vocals and it is down to this or the LA3A reissue. The HCL offers two channels to the UA's 1 channel. Decisions......

It looked good until I saw the max output level at 16dbu.
That is not pro audio if you ask me.

Strange, we also... As well as many of people worldwide ...What scale is meant nevertheless?

+16dBu in our understanding (as the minimal value on the Output at max position of Master Level knob and + 16 dBu on the Input - it ` s mean 4,9V nevertheless. Or higher - if more than, 16dBu/4,9V on the Input presented. Or other words:-2dBu of digital zero... how average value, we shall remind, at 16/16 on the Input/Output. We do not see sense to do more - though it`s simple at trafo (10WA trafo, btw) inputs/outputs.thumbsup

Just add the european and USa standard mastering levels there adding +2dBs and +4dBs to the EBU.
