| Wishlist: Korg Legacy MS20 incl. Controller! Simple questions. Whoop Whoop!! I'm seriously considering buying the Korg Legacy pack. The MS20 + Controller I wonder: 1) How would this work with Logic Gold 4.1 OR Logic Platinum 5.5... as a plug-in.. that I control with the keyboard/knobs? 2) How about saving the sounds u make.. where do u save those... in your plug-in like your other custom made settings within plug-ins? 3) I can get it.. NEW.. for € 165,-. I've read a review and it sounds like a real bargain.. I wonder if it really is. |

It is a bargain at that price, so if you decide it's got what you need don't wait too long. If I remember correctly the sounds can be saved within the hosts session file or within the Legacy's own preset menu. I don't use Logic, so I can't comment on your first question. | |

| 1. Dunno 2. Legacy has its own preset directory for individual presets as well as banks. 3. I got it for about the same price. A bargain IMO ruudman |

| Correct answer: regarding automation at least in Logic Pro, the controller's knobs do not work when you use it as FX. So you cannot record your movements, just perform them live. Other annoyance: the same happens using it as an audio instrument, the knobs are not useful to record automation in Logic Pro standard modes (latch, touch, etc.). You have to use the mouse, aaarghh! Let's bring those issues to the devs (Korg participates in this forum), maybe they will fix them... http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpB...forum.php?f=38

| In Logic, you have to use the 'Midi Controlled FX' option in the instruments menu. |

| Yes, the Midi Controlled Fx works fine to control and filter other track's audio (for example in sidechain mode) BUT to me this is almost useless if in Logic I cannot record in the real time tweaks I perform PUTTING MY HANDS ON THE CONTROLLER (and you know, MS 20 is all about tweaks!) with the usual Logic's automation methods (this only works if you act with the mouse on the on screen interface). Ok, you can put Logic in record mode and record a region of tweaks, but as you know it's not the same thing and in most cases it could a pain. Also in this case it's much much harder to make fine corrections, while in automation it's very easy to do it later.

| Just put Logic into 'latch' mode and it will record everything you do on the controller. You don't have to use the mouse to write automation. |

| Not correct. Using your hands on the controller latch mode does NOT work. It works ONLY if you use the mouse to tweak the knobs on the gui. This happens also when you use MS20 as audio instrument, so double shame... Korg admits this too, read here: http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpB...ic.php?t=19633
