Thread Starter | Wireless remote controlled talkback?
Anyone using any good ones like on the SSL 9000J? I was looking at the Hear Technologies Talk Back Model 600 MV: http://www.heartechnologies.com/tb/talkback600MV.htm Which you can buy with a wireless remote but is there anything out there that's as good or better worth checking out? Something that does just talkback? |

we're using the hear technologies one with one wired remote that sits on the desk, and one wireless remote for the producer to pace around with. it absolutely works. we've also got the mic output of it going into our converter so we can record the talkback mic while doing drums. for what it's worth, we use the hearback system they make as well. we've got 4 mixers, each with two headphone outputs. they run on cat5 cables and can get signal via adat. wonderful. |

Brainstorm makes the TB4 that uses infrared, not RF like the Hear one. A better option for RF packed NY. PM if you want any more info on integrating it with something.

Fair enough... a few years ago ran into client with big problems involving rf with one of the hear remote talkback switches - rf only(I'm midtown, west side and see rf interact with certain things) It's certainly sweet to run only a cat5 for headphones with the Hearback system, to be sure. I do like the Coleman TB4 with the brainstorm TB4 as the talkback remote(s). seaneldon - do keep informed of status of shootout thingy happening. post cover band mix session(and neccessary drink) blather... | As far as I know, the Brainstorm TB-4 is the one sold by SSL. Different paint and different overlay. But it is the same unit. You can check it here: http://www.brainstormtime.com/tb4.php |

I've been using the brainstorm unit for about 15 years. Works like a charm. It's been dropped and sat on many times. When the rechargeable cell will no longer take a charge, you can just put a 9v in it. Lasts for a long time. I still chuckle when people yell into the remote.
