What's this song in my head?

Hi

Does anyone have a clue about a song I'm trying to find the name of? All I can tell you is it could be by Nick Cave, or a band that sounds like him, and the lyric that is in my head is...

'ti - yi- yi - yi - ee- yi - yime' (at least, I think the word is time). The first four syllables have about a 1 sec space between them, the 'yi-ee-yi-yime' is quicker, with about half the time between each syllable.

I know this is vague, but if you can help - great!!!

Cheers

Shaun

ps - I have a feeling it's a classic song too.

Just thought of the first lyrics - 'I've been contemplating suicide...'

Off to have a look now to see if I can find it!

Thanks for your efforts!!!

Wouldn't it be great if there was a database of songs that would let you sing your idea in and it would bring up any songs that sound like it? Massive library though - way too much data!

The song's called "Shivers" and it was originally by the Young Charlatans.

I've only heard it on a bootleg live Nick Cave LP. I've got it on cassette around here somewhere.

Great song.

'my baby's so vain she's almost a mirror'

No one lifts my spirits quite like Nick Cave. OK, maybe Nick Drake or Elliot Smith.

Those guys can make Tom Waits sound like Hanson.

Thanks man

Can't seem to find the mp3 though - it ain't on iTunes - will keep looking. The lyric I was thinking of was 'spine', not 'time' :-)

Cheers!
