i'm getting a very bad idea re: rosetta..

i'm thinking of trading the ****er for a Motu 24i/o wif blacklion mods

is this incredibly dense?

i doubt it..

but i want to decide where to get my 24 tracks total..

right now its the Rosetta 800 192
and a Mytek Stereo96 AD

talk me out of this..

Are you thinking that good converters are like "The Truman Show"?

There's a world outside and it's ok. Don't be afraid.

Actually, I agree with Jeff.

Beside the number of tracks can you tell us about how you will be using these converters, what you are connecting them to, and how you plan of connecting them? Do you have any special requirements? What type of computer do you have?

I find that when people think about what type of requirements they have the choice of what converter they should get becomes clearer. You will stop looking at converters that won't work for you and start focusing on the smaller group of units that will.

ok..i'll dish on the stuff that's finalized..

the Pre's in My hotrodded Studer
+
Some Pm1000's for funk..
and some outboard pre's i'm not at liberty to discuss at this point.

to el convertors

to an Upgraded G4 =1.25 + all the memory a mother could ask for..
running DP-5

how i would connect them would depend on what the converters want..a pci card apparently..

originally i was going to keep the track count down to 14i/o with a konnekt24d as the missing 4 ad/da and a rumour as additional Da..

if i go the aurora route..which i will if i go 24
i'll be picking up those Aes16's

what about using the adat extension card by Lynx for the Apogee
and then another card for the Mytek

at that point we're looking at a total of about what...$7000 in convertors?
whew..that's getting into radar territory..

if i go BlackLion...i'll ditch the Apogee and Keep the Mytek for Clocking and Mixdown.

god know's what i'll be recording..hopefully the freshness..
