| I need some adviceI'm starting my plans to build a personal set-up, and I can build at either end of the basement here are my options... 1) length 13' 1" width 8 '4" ceiling 7' or 2) length 20' 6" width 6' 8" ceiling 7' Basic production/control room deal. Which dimension's would work the best? I have a very weird basement, advise will be greatly appreciated THANKS for the help Aaron |

| Aaron, > length 20' 6" < That's my choice. When all else is equal, having the rear wall behind you as far back as possible is always better. And plan for as much bass trapping as you can possibly manage. --Ethan

| hey, with 7' ceilings you're in danger of head end ringing (google that if you need more info). in short, make sure your monitors and ears are not exactly halfway between floor and ceiling. gregoire del ubk .

| Gear addict | Fuzz the heck out of the ceiling, it's just too low to do you any good. Oh, and the walls too... but ceiling first.

| So what we are looking at is 2.07m (W) x 6.27m (L) x 2.10m (H) Firstly that ceiling, is very low, you are gonna run into trouble there, especially if these figures are before you build in. I'll let Ethan chime in here. |
