RADAR II to RME via TDIF

I'm preparing myself for recording session in rented studio that have RADAR II. I own an RME 9632 card.. What would be the simpliest way of transfering audio from Radar to RME?

My guess is that i should purchase RME TEB (Tdif-expansion board), 'cause i understood that Radar II has TDIF output built-in. Is this correct? Then, i need an TDIF cable - i saw tascam's own cupw88d cable for arround 30e and it seems fine to me..

What else should i know? Are clocks better syncronised through TDIF or should i get wordclock to sync it? (i believe that on RME TEB there is a wordclock input, and am shure that there is wordclock on RADAR II).

Is this good way of transfering valuable and well recorded audio that RADAR II is worth of?

AM i missing something? I don't have very much time for experimenting once the session is underway...
Thank you in advance..

Hi Loa,
Most RADAR II's had multichannel TDIF boards installed.
The pinout for the TDIF cable is here:

You can clock via TDIF or workclock just the same.
RADAR has a wordclock output, as well as a TDIF word output.

I think this would be the best way to transfer, as you would maintain the RADAR sound.

Let me know if you have any questions.

thanks for quick answer

I don't understand, is this pin-out setup standard for TDIF-s or it is RADAR exclusive? Can i use standard TDIF cables (above mentioned) for it? is it correspondive with RME TEB-s, pin configuration, or i need to make some adjustments?

Thank you very much again

Hi Loa,
Same pinout as Tascam uses.
Those cables should be fine.
