Power conditioning a Project Studio in Germany

Halli Hallo
Can anyone recommend an affordable (i.e. no more than a few hundred) power conditioning system for my project studio. I'm in Berlin (East but renovated), Germany so the american power firms arn't really appropriate. Anyone know any good European products?

What are the steps for checking and regulating power in a domestic/residential building?

Is there anything special to know about power for audio gear here?

Should digital and analogue equipment be on separate circuits?

Will all this help my sound? Been getting some noise problems.

Sorry...soo many questions.

All the Best

Brutze,

Plug something in and hit Play. If it sounds okay - no obvious clicks and pops or buzz - you're okay. Every setup does not need a power conditioner. Though you do want an UPS if you're using a computer.

What kind of noise problems? What does it sound like and when does it happen?

oops.
Hi Ethan
I must have posted this and then forgot what I was doing.
I have too many posts and projects on the go at the moment (as you may have noticed)(I was the cat toy bag noticer!:-)).

Sorry about that and thanks for replying.

I just completed a corporate video project, and didn't seem to have any of the noise problems anymore. At the time I rewired everything and bought a new spike protector.
It sems to be working well.
I have noticed problems with the current levels varying over time of day (e.g. lights get dimmer at peak times), but no surprises there.

We had a short powerout (1s) in east berlin last week and my whole system shut down and started up. Nothing broken thank goodness. I save regularly too so, also no problems.

But it did get me thinking about backup power.
Is there a reasonably priced battery power supply available? Maybe one that would supply just enough to safely shutdown?

All the best to the cat anyway!
