I got turned on to Pete Yorn last summer and like his stuff. Definately not one of those "everysongsoundsthesame" kinda artists. Looking forward to another album.

I just saw him a few weeks ago in a small place. He was frickin awesome. Great great songs. Killer band. One of my favorites these days. I also like that he plays all (or most) of the tracks on his albums himself. I'm doing that myself and I second-guess it all the time. Good to see someone pulling it off.

Agreed...him and Ryan Adams... two of the best. I think Ryan should use a little more selection on his releases but all-in-all he's great.

I'd love to hear more about the new record and how it was done.

Yes. I am also a Yorn fan. Ryan Adams can give me chills with his song writing.

This is without a doubt the smartest thing anyone has ever said on this forum. GREAT taste in songwriters, Alexi!

I played some shows with him a few years back. He is cool, and his band is tight. His performance was maybe a little too laid back at the time, but maybe it has evolved.

Yep, Pete Yorn is outstanding. . . . I also like Josh Rouse too. Little different but Rouse's "Dressed Up Like Nebraska" is amazing. . . .

I was honestly a little disappointed at the new PY full length. He's definitely finally finding his sound, but it's a bit hook-less.

The EP he released right before the record came out (Westerns) is so so so so good - it's kind of a bummer that the LP isn't quite up to that caliber.
