Metric halo 2882/ Fireface 800

Has anybody experience of both these units? How do they match up? I won't particularly be using the mic pre's on either, mainly using them as a front end on my laptop but I'd be interested to hear what people think.

Thanks,
Steve

I know more about the FF800. Comparing the just the specs of the 2 boxes, I went with the FF800 and can say it's a great box. Especially if you're not using the pres. But the converters sound very good. RME keeps the drivers updated for the OS changes with good support and you will love total mix. Very flexible!
