Thread Starter | Signal Splitter Question
Hi all, I'm looking to start splitting signals post-preamp for tracking purposes...for example, when recording a DI bass signal, I'd like to record a one track uncompressed/lightly compressed and a second track heavily compressed. so the chain would be Bass-> preamp DI->split. considering load/impedance post-preamp, would it be ok to just use a Y split xlr adapter? or would i be much better off getting something with lundahl/jensen transformers? i suppose if i also wanted the option to split a microphone signal pre-preamp, i would probably want something that wouldn't alter impedance b4 going into the preamp. |
