Did anyone else catch Yamaha's 125th anniversary online concert?
Title says it all!
It was a free NAMM concert by Yamaha and was 'live' online for 3.5 hours!
Main act was Elton John with Earth, Wind and Fire, Dave Grusin, Lee Ritnour and David Foster with Chaka Khan and many others!
All Yammy gear of course!
I was watching it online halfway across the world for all 3.5 hours with no dropouts or anything!
One of their highlights was the newer Diskclaviers, which allowed it to be plugged via LAN, and when Elton John played his piano onstage, MIDI data was sent to your home Diskclavier and you would have Elton playing in your living room, virtually!
Problem was not many people would have a Diskclavier to see it work. Would be great to see it in action, though!
The state of concerts to come?
