Lexicon 480-still the king

After talking to my engineer, few days ago,we both have come to the conclusion that only place where there was no progress over the years is reverb units. We have new and better converters, recorders, software, mixers, preamps and compressors but when it comes to reverb 480 is still the best reverb unit money can buy.If you tell me Pultec,i'll say Manley,if you say Fairchild i'll say Universal Audio and so on and on.
But if you say Lexicon 480,i have absolutely nothing to say to you

That has got to be the most ignorant post i've ever seen.

I didn't realize i've made comment on Pultecs or Fairchilds,i only have said that there are companies making products which try to copy or improve on original, and i don't see that happening with reverbs like 480.
If you say 960, i'll have to say 2x480

I agree & would add the 960 . Both pieces of art
Don“t want to miss convolution verbs though

For synthethic sounding digital reverb i would say yes the 480L is the prince in the reverb kingdom.

But the king of digital reverbs is still the EMT 250.

Long live R2D2!!!
