| Lives for gear | Firewire to USB adapter Hi everyone, I have one Motu Ultralite interface and it only has firewire port. I need to connect it to another PC which does not have a firewire port but does the USB. i am wondering if there is such a thing like: firewire to USB adapter especially for audio interface stuff. Thanks in advance. Cheers, -Feri |

| Lives for gear | This is one of those things that's technically feasible but not very practical. USB and Firewire are not just two different kinds of plugs. The entire behind the scenes workings of the two protocols are COMPLETELY different. Such a direct converter would need to be quite a complex device internally. Just get a PC-CARD slot Firewire controller and you'll be all set.....
