Any Tape emulation plugs other than DUY TApe

I have pt le so I can't use duy tape on my two buss. What other options do I have that are compareable or better? I haven't used it but heard it's amazing. Is this true?

guess it is the wrong platform for you, but totally underrated and still one of the best tape emulations is steinberg´s magneto, standardplugin coming with nuendo and cubase. needs those hosts to run, will not run on other software...
there was an old version of magneto that was abke to run on any DX or VST compatible host. can be found on ebay sometimes...
rock on!

Dunno if i'd really wanna put tapehead across a mix -- I like it on a lotta stuff but it doesn't really work for me across a mix.

If you're in LE world both on Mac and PC there's two other options:

McDSP's Analog Channel 2 (AC2) - which works really nicely
and also
PSP Audioware's VintageWarmer (which is a MASSIVELY underrated plugin)

Cheers,
Marcus

Try downoading a demo of McDSP Analog Channel, and use AC2. definitely fool around with the input gain, bias, and head bump controls. It's pretty powerful. The presets are good starting points as well...

Cheers,
John
