IDEA --- USB meter bridge & LCD scribble strips

Hi!
since I am not able to do it I just want you to know it. And If someone is able to do it , I will be glad to make him a millionare....

Around it's plenty of controllers that use mackie control protocol.
Looks like a fashion that half of them when a fraction of them have LCD scribble strips. And No ONE of them have meter bridge.
I have a Tascam US-2400 and it's a shame there's no scribble strips on it. I would pay for it and I don't need soft LCD since my goal is NOT to whatch the monitor.
Ok, this is my idea:

Why not make a hardware USB LCD scribble strip and a hardware USB meter bridge , and both together, that WILL FOLLOW Mackie Control Protocol?

Is there anyone out there who wants to become rich????

I think an independant USB Meter Bridge will be developed sooner or later, due to

a) the number of mixers and summing amps made without adaquate metering.

b) software monitoring is just not accurate enough.

c) most ADDA hardware monitoring is not sufficient (with some exceptions, e.g, Motu HD192)

I have wanted one of these for months and every once in awhile pop up and ask if anyone has seen one.

The other thing I want : A USB / FIREWIRE RACK MOUNT HUB
With LOTS of ports. Not seven I am thinking like 14 EACH with multiple "blocks" so you can run four of one host port and the next four of the next port etc OR chain them all or have multiple outputs or routed outputs.

I agree whith you guys. I have wanted this for a long time. I ended up switching to the mackie control but I would like a better metering system almost full size meters like a board with Scrib strip would be awsome.

I also second the rack mount USB/Firewire hub. This one is so simple I cant believe it has not been done.

There's a site called www.midibox.org where guys have been making there own controllers that run off Mackie Control Emulation. I recall there being a section on diy LCD's and LED metering...so if you're good with a soldering iron and have sometime maybe look into that. They sell all the PCB kits off the site and you can find cheap LCD screens off ebay. I'd still rather buy one premade.
