Do i mix below 0

I work in Nuendo 3 with a Roland vm7200 v mixer. Do i have all the levels on the mixer at 0 or -10db? WHat is a good level to start. And also in NUendo?

Also if i dont want to use the mix buss in the mixer how would i bypass Nuendo? Or i i just want to use the Roland buss how i bypass the NUendo buss?

I always set the faders to -10 if I start a mix with the faders up.

Or, I'll bring them all down, and start pushing up things to see how they play with each other...then go from there.

That's a starting point. You have to remember that tracks build up. If you set them all to -10, your RMS might be -5...

This, of course, all depends on how loud they were recorded too.
