vocal chain for snow patrol's "final straw" album?

specifically interested in the chain for "run," but the tones are similar throughout the entire album. it's very up front but soft at the same time, if that makes any sense. a hefty does of good compression maybe? any thoughts?

I like this album too... If there is hefty compression then it is done well because the voice is very "present" without too many audible artifacts IMO. Snow Patrol is essentially a guy named Gary Lightbody.. maybe a google search on his name would turn up something. If I find something about the recording chain I'll post back and let you know.

Cheers,
J.D.

Sorry I dont have an answer but I also wanted to throw in a for "Final Straw." I've got the SACD -- if you like the CD, it sounds even better in multi-channel SACD (which is not the case for all albums). I think their new album is completely bland, though -- a real disappointment after such a great peak.

One more thumb up for Snow Patrol here. I like "Final Straw" a lot more than "Eyes open" too.

Garret Lee is a great producer. His work with Kasabian was great too. We'll hear a lot from him in the coming years I guess.

If I recall correctly, they are pix from the studio sessions on their website, if you want to check... but I don't remember seing any "singing" pix...
