| XLogic Rack full of EQ's for mixing Hello, would a XLogic rack with 8 channels of EQ's give me the SSL sound come mix time? Would the $8500 be better spent elsewhere? I'm currently tracking mostly vocals 1073/distressor/rosetta 200 to logic pro. Thanks in advance, D |

| Lives for gear | No No Never Never Uh Uh Uh I would say, buy a SSL G384, Folcrom and a pair of SSL Pre's and you'll get a lot closer. Most of the people I know (myself included) used SSL Eq's when all the outboard (the more the better) ran out. Good Luck. BTW - I find it strange that Neve has built a summing box when SSL is the company that really should. So many records have been tracked on Neve and Mixed on SSL. SSL should stay out of the front end department. It's not their niche. ![]() |
