Scully Lathe for Sale

I bought this lathe about 2 years ago. It originally had an ortofon head but it blew from the previous owner. When I bought it it had no head and I purchased a Haeco head for it so I could cut dance records with less chance of the head blowing. No one in tampa knew how to put the head on and it seemed that i was gona have to have someone flown in from california to put it on. Because of financial reasons and the hastle of that whole deal I put it on the back burner and never got it going. It was originally one of the Lathes used at Evatone in Florida.
Its in great condition. By the looks only one thing needs repair. For more

I dont know much of anything about these machines and was gona be trained by the original owner.

If anyones intrested or wants more details please text me or call 813 598 0085

Bryan,

What a beauty...if I had the space and the money, i swear I would buy it just to have it sitting around to look at. (Or maybe I would put a new cutter head on it and try to make my own.... ).
Seriously though, with the re-emergence of vinyl, this unit is far from dead. You might want to dive into some analog threads involving vinyl and see if there might be someone who is looking for such a beast. After all, you can't make LPs without it...and they aren't exactly getting easier to find.

Good luck with it; I hope this one gets a good productive home.

Best,

Hello:

I am in Tampa and am very interested in buying the lathe.

Can you email me if its still for sale?

I also may be able to install the cutter head for you.

Thanks.
