I have firepods... looking to upgrade..

i have these two firepods, that i purchased about a year ago. I've been basically running my studio's business with them, and i'm ready to upgrade, seeing that the value of firepods is falling on ebay, and that i'm ready for something better. Anyways, after i unload these firepods i really have no idea what to replace them with. I currently have a 32 channel mackie vlz pro mixer, and i have some nice pre's in mind that i will be buying soon. my spending range is anywhere from 1000 to 2000 ish, and i am looking for something with at least 8 channels that will run my preamp signals into a computer. any suggestions would be appreciated! thanks

that's quite alright haha
yeah they're going for as low as 300 on ebay. great bang for the buck in these things, but i'm ready to move on up.

A good mixer (A&H Mix Wizard, Mackie Onyx) and an Echo Audiofire12 would make a very nice setup for low dough. The Onyx stuff itself has very nice on board A/D conversion and preamps, the 1620 / 1640 + FW card = .
