Just working on my DIY monitors, replacing a passive radiator in the FoH mains in the live/event room, and thinking how I really need to clean up/declutter the control room really badly (but for that to happen I got to finish the patchbay wiring, hang the cloud and clean out/organise the back room so I can move the workbench/soldering station out there).

Vocal delays have taken quite a while as this song was not tracked to a click and things get a little wild.....lots of automation.

Mixing right now........rest of the day on that.

Got here drunk after an evening in the local pub. Turned on the computer and ended up here in Gearslutz...

I just got an email from a band who's music I dislike and was a chore to work on their songs, they will need some mix revisions. So I'll go for a bike ride now.

Recorded electric and acoustic bass on 11 tracks with Sean Hurley. Very enjoyable session--the honey crisp apples, now in season, were awesome.

Today and tonight; got a long night ahead of me.

Currently recording some vinyl so I can build them into my set for a party I can't wait to play at. Found some really great stuff I totally forgot about when I was getting into wax.

Well not officially "today" but yesterday and the day before I did the most grueling, mundane, boring , "so-not-slutty" thing any AE can ever do (besides editing drums): I made and hung some DIY Acoustic panels for the new location.

And today I'll start working on compositions @ my home studio for a band that wants to do a 3 song demo. Waaay more fun than hanging panels, lol.

@ Cavern: Very funny. Had me laughing...

Hi Fellas and Dames!
Newby here on GS (long time lurker though).
I just tweaked the last mix and signed off on a 12 song CD I produced about 1 hour ago.
I've been working on it since February. God it feels good to put that to bed!
Cheers!

I had to kick an old client out today. I found her when she was nothing, built her up to have much success, and she has the gall to call me an asshole. You can't call someone an asshole in their own studio.

I worked on mastering track one on a new album that I'm mastering. It turned out quite nice if I do say so myself!

Laid down a Fuzz Bass track for my project (all vintage gear)..... it was fun. I just need a way to get all the wires from wrapping around themselves since I am the muso and the engineer. Headphone cable, guitar cable wrapped so tight I felt like I was in a fly trap or something.

Tested out some new gear (Joemeek brick and overstayer saturator), practiced drums, and now I'm dumping some old idea tapes into the computer including such probable platinum gems as "Butt Crack Snack".

Close-- an MXL 2003a. That's my favorite part of these pics, remembering how the groups were miked.
