subwoofer suggestions?

Hello there, we have a small room setup with B&W 805s running off a Yamaha MX-830 amp, and are thinking of adding a subwoofer to it. . not sure if it should be passive or active, but any suggestions are appreciated, looking for sub-750 dollar price range. . does not have to be incredibly huge for rap, just a general low extension for pop/rock. .thanks

Check out the Tannoy TS-12...... I think the cost is about $800 USD and if you can't afford that, you could go with their 10" sub.. that's under $750 I believe.

I have the Tannoy TS-10. I use it with 2 Dynaudio BM5A's up top. I say 'use it' but I really haven't tweaked it yet so that it works well in my room for mixing. It's a very well built unit and I got it for under $600.

Hsu STF-1.

Described here:

Here's a good Subwoofer, good sound & price

The price shown there ($269) was a special, back to regular $299 now. Well worth it.
