Looks like great modules at a great price.
I am, indeed. Yeah, the EQ looks good, especially considering the filters. On the other hand, I paid $500 for a pristine used 9K X-Rack EQ recently, no filters, but can you say recall?
That completed a superanalogue channel strip, and I got similar deals on the mic amp and dynamics, new. I know that's not really a fair general comparison, but I have to look at what I have and where I'm going.
A three module channel strip of Lindell Audio modules was my entry into the 500 series: $900. That's mostly discrete, transformer, inductor, etc. I'm trying to stick with same-brand channel strips, though I may jump off for the Kush Electra, which I'd put above this EQ, even less the LPF and at $50 more.
A $1500 Aphex channel strip might not be too far out of the running. The dual tube pre at $400 a channel/space is closer to that magic $300 Lindell price, too. Anyway, I'm rambling, but there's less expensive stuff like Alta Moda, GAP 500 and FCS.
