ampeg svt di

Has anyone used the ampeg svt d.i box live or in studio?
I'm using an avalon u5 and thought the ampeg might be good for rock!

I know this sounds like a stupid endorsement, but someone who I thought did good sounding work told me they loved it, but I can't remember who it was.

But it makes me more curious about it! I think 98% of GS members would vote for the Reddi, though, so asking here is bound to bring that unit up.

There's also a mic preamp that looks just like the D.I.
