your name is telling, but still, Id advise posting what kind of sound you seek

imo, for most power drums, i would seek a room with a solid natural verb, probably at least 2 walls of stone/rock/brick--then enjoy automating mutes later, though I wont reveal more on tricks of certain producers:P since you seem to like Rush, I am sure you will like big stone rooms

also, try Helios pre's if you can:P

thanks natpub... yeah... love rush... but for this project I'm looking for more of a pop/rock/punk crossover sound... something like Greenday's latest or Billy Talent... Don't want to spend $$ on the usual suspects (phase one, metalworks)... looking for something comparable but not as expensive.

thanks!

Rusher, contact LeMix, the studio he talks about has a great sounding room. I use it all the time for bigger budjet recordings. As a matter of fact, I just finnished recording a 3 part horn secssion there because of the room and the gear. Its got great gear, more than fair rates, and LeMix really knows his shit.
I garrrenty you will be more than happy.

Yes this sounds like a sales pitch, but I work with Lemix alot, he is a good freind, and I know you will be happy with the results.

I start mixing an album there on Saturday with Lemix, its very comfortable.

Get in touch with him brother........

Sorry about spelling, im in a hurry. Later slutters
