| Going to have to rent a real space soon... Because my neighbour (townhouse) just came over to let me know that it's a bit loud when I'm recording electric guitars in my basement! haha. I have a storage room (with concrete walls) - turned rock wool coated dead room that I put my amps in while recording. Turns out I need quite a bit more soundproofing - he played and I went over to his place to listen and it was surprizingly loud. On a somewhat related note, I was thinking of trying to make one of the walls live by putting up some pine panneling or something... but the room is pretty small - 8' x 10'... is that too small to get a good room tone going? |

| 8'x10' could work. For Isolation, you'll need to build another room inside the storage locker - with real studs and drywall. -tINY |

I think 8x10 is too small for a good room sound, it'll be all early reflections, probbaly kind of snotty sounding. remember it's around 1.1 foot per millisecond, so in a room that small those reflections are going to be bouncing around in the time realm of nasty phaseyness. I agree with tINY about building a room inside the room tho, & you probably want to use several layers of different materials & fiberglass in the airspaces, & make sure it seals up well.
